KRAFT TELEVISION THEATER

aka Pond's Theater

aka Kraft Pond's Theater

aka Kraft Theater

ABC Thursdays 9:30-10:30

For 15 months, the Kraft Corporation had been sponsoring two live plays a week,

 both titled Kraft Television Theater.

The NBC version, which aired Wednesday nights at 9:00, (and had been

in that time period since the late 1940's).

When Kraft decided to drop the Thursday night version on ABC,

Ponds took over the sponsorship and retitled the series Ponds Theater.

The dramas were produced live in New York.

There were six producer/directors for this series.

They were: Fred Carney, Stan Quinn, Maury Holland, Dick Dunlap, Harry Herrmann and J. Fielder Cook.
